Precision machining of moving blade rotors (swiveling hydraulic cylinder rotors)

Processing challenges
The moving blade rotor is the core rotating component of the oscillating hydraulic cylinder. Its outer circumference requires precision-machined slots for sealing blade installation, with extremely tight tolerances on slot width and depth. The rotor's outer diameter and the cylinder bore form a precision sliding fit, demanding high cylindrical and coaxiality accuracy. Part material number 6492080 FCN must be laser-etched.
Solutions
Outer diameter and face are machined using precision CNC turning to ensure cylindricity ≤ 0.01mm. Blade slots are created with precision milling, achieving slot width tolerance of ±0.02mm and a bottom surface finish of Ra0.8. After machining, dynamic balancing is performed to ensure smooth rotation. Finally, the part number 6492080 FCN is laser-etched for clear, permanent identification.
Processed Results
- • Outer cylindricality ≤ 0.01mm; uniform fit clearance.
- • Blade slot width tolerance ±0.02mm; slot depth consistency is good.
- • Dynamic balance test passed; rotation is vibration-free.
- • Laser-engraved serial number is clear and meets traceability requirements.
- • Rotates smoothly after assembly with the cylinder block, with no sticking.
- • Batch Pass Rate: 98.8%
